Adding devices
How to add devices to your inventory in Restock.
Steps
- Go to the list for the device type you want (e.g., Phones, Tablets, Laptops).
- Click Add New [Device Type] (e.g., "Add New Phone").
- Fill in Device Information & Condition: Brand, Model, Condition, and Status.
- Fill in Technical Details. The fields shown depend on the device type (see Fields by device type below).
- Optionally add Notes in the Additional Notes section.
- Click Save.
For phones and cellular tablets or smartwatches, you can speed this up by entering an IMEI first — see IMEI auto-population below.
IMEI auto-population
For phones and for tablets or smartwatches set to Cellular, you can enter a 15-digit IMEI in the IMEI field. Restock will look up the device and fill in many fields for you, including:
- Brand, Model, Storage, Color, Carrier Lock
- Warranty status and warranty end date
- Blacklist and block status (e.g., GSMA Blacklisted, Find My iPhone ON, Lost Mode, USA Block Status)
- Additional identifiers (IMEI2, MEID, EID) and device flags (e.g., Apple Device, Refurbished)
Enter the IMEI before or while filling the form; when the lookup succeeds, the form updates automatically. You can then adjust any value and save.
Fields by device type
Not every field appears for every device type:

- Tablets and Smartwatches: Choose Connectivity Type (WiFi or Cellular). Carrier Lock and IMEI only appear when you select Cellular.
- Gift Cards: You enter Brand and Value only; there is no model or condition.
- Headphones: No storage, battery health, carrier lock, or IMEI.
Advanced Device Information
For phones, tablets, and smartwatches, the form has a collapsible Advanced Device Information section (collapsed by default). It includes:
- Warranty — Warranty status and warranty end date
- Security — GSMA Blacklisted, Find My iPhone ON, Lost Mode, Blacklist Status, USA Block Status
- Identifiers — IMEI2, MEID, EID
- Purchase — Purchase country, estimated purchase date
- Flags — Apple Device, Refurbished, Demo Unit, Replaced, Replacement, Registered
If Restock fills these from an IMEI lookup, you can open this section to review or edit them. Laptops, headphones, misc, and gift cards do not show the advanced section.
Suggesting a new brand or model
If the brand or model you need is not in the dropdown, use the suggestion option (for example, Suggest new brand or Suggest new model) and enter the value you want. It is saved so you can reuse it next time.
