Devices & Inventory overview

How device inventory works in Restock.

Device types

Restock supports seven device types. Each type has its own list view in the main navigation:

  • Phones
  • Tablets
  • Laptops
  • Smartwatches
  • Headphones
  • Misc — Other devices (with optional category)
  • Gift Cards

Open the device type you need from the sidebar or menu to see and manage that inventory.

What inventory tracks

For each device you can record:

  • Condition — A grade (e.g., A, B+, C) defined by your organization
  • Status — For example, In Stock or Sold
  • Technical details — Such as storage, color, serial number, battery health
  • Carrier and IMEI — For phones and cellular tablets/smartwatches
  • Notes — Free-text notes on the item

Fields vary by device type. Phones and cellular tablets/smartwatches support the most detail, including IMEI and carrier lock. Laptops and headphones do not use IMEI or carrier. Gift cards track only brand and value.

Brands and models

When you add a device, you choose from available brand and model options in dropdowns.

If the brand or model you need is not listed, you can suggest it by entering the value you want. It is saved so you can reuse it next time.

Conditions

Conditions (e.g., A, B+, C) are defined per organization. Your administrator or organization owner sets up the condition grades and their descriptions.

Some conditions can have a default battery health value. When you select that condition while adding or editing a device, the battery health field is pre-filled with that value.
